Coronavirus Updates

Ridgecrest Regional Hospital is closely monitoring the coronavirus outbreak in both the U.S. and countries across the world, and are working closely with Kern County Public Health Services Department and the state of California in taking all of the necessary steps required.

We continue to prepare and be ready to take care of any patient(s) that could potentially have COVID-19. If you, as a patient, are concerned that you might have COVID-19 or have been exposed, please call your doctor’s office first. If you need to be seen in Urgent Care or the Emergency Department, please inform the staff immediately so the appropriate steps can be taken.

We would like to reiterate to the community to please wash hands frequently, cover when you cough and avoid touching your face. And follow the Kern County Public Health Department guidance:

  • If you go out for essential activities or to shop for necessities, remember to maintain at least 6 feet distance from individuals who do not live in your household.
  • Wash hands with soap and water often, for at least 20 seconds.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. Follow label instructions for proper disinfection.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a disposable tissue or your elbow.
  • Stay away from large gatherings and crowds both in public and in private.
  • If you are sick, stay home from work and away from other people.
  • Follow State face-covering Guidance
