Pink Ladies

RRH is very grateful for the self-sacrificing service shown by the Pink Ladies Auxiliary. The Pink Ladies have raised money for the purchase of needed equipment and donated thousands of hours serving hospital needs.

Purpose

Founded by Jan Hoagland in 1958, the Pink Ladies raise money for the purchase of equipment for the hospital. The Auxiliary is devoted to offering personal support to our staff and to our patients and their families. The Pink Ladies have three main purposes: to provide assistance in clinical settings; to raise funds for needed equipment; and to inform the public about the many professional services of the hospital.

Reaching Goals

The Auxiliary also awards three scholarships to students in the Licensed Vocational Nurse Program at Cerro Coso Community College.
The primary source of monies come from:

  • Proceeds from the Gift Shop in the hospital
  • Private donations
  • Bake sales
  • Garage sales

With approximately 55 members, the Pink Ladies donate over 10,000 hours per year serving hospital needs. For example:

  • Delivering newspapers, coffee, flowers, mail and menus to patients
  • Transporting documents to various departments in the hospital
  • Staffing the information desk
  • Working in various offices in the hospital (e.g., Administration, Dietary, Nursing Wings, Payroll)

Women who are interested in joining the Pink Ladies Auxiliary may pick up an application at the RRH Gift Shop and return it to any Pink Lady Auxiliary member.

The hours of our Gift Shop are:
Mon - Fri, 10AM to 4 PM and Sunday 1 PM to 4 PM
