Hospice
Ridgecrest Regional Hospice is committed to providing a team of professionals for caring support, pain and symptom management, and assistance with final preparations related to a terminal illness.
Under the direction of the patient's physician, the Hospice Care Team Members visit the patient to carry out a plan of care for the purpose of keeping the patient as comfortable as possible and to support quality of life as the patient, family and friends cope with end of life care and decisions.
Ridgecrest Regional Hospice is part of Ridgecrest Regional Hospital, a Not For Profit organization that does not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability, or age in admission, treatment, or participation in its programs, services and activities, or in employment.

POLST
POLST is a form that states what kind of medical treatment patients want toward the end of their lives. Printed on bright pink paper, and signed by both a doctor and patient, POLST helps give seriously ill patients more control over their end-of-life care. For more information, please see their website.
