About Susan

Susan Corcoran is a Certified Midwife Nurse (CMN) at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital. Susie knew that she wanted to become a midwife after her first child was born in 1987. She began her journey in Midwifery in 1990 as a licensed Midwife in Oregon. She then went on to receive her Nurse-Midwife certificate, followed by a post masters in Family Practice. 

In  2012, Susan and her husband renovated a historical home in their town of Aurora which later became the Aurora Birth Center, followed a few years later by a family practice clinic next door. Susan has provided care in both in and out of hospital settings for over 30 years. This year Susan decided it was time to let go of practice ownership and management and is very excited to focus once again primarily on patient care at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital.
