Updated Restricted Visiting Policy (4.11.20)

To protect our patients, staff, and community during the Coronavirus pandemic, visitor restriction will occur. Routine visiting will be suspended at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital until further notice.

The following will also apply:

• Patients who under 18 years are allowed to have 1 parent/guardian with them at all time. The visitor must stay in the room.

• Maternal - 1 visitor with them at all time. The visitor must limit movement within the department, stay in room majority of time.

• Patients who have altered mental status or developmental delays (where caregiver provides safety) or patients with disruptive behavior (where a caregiver is key to their care) are allowed to have 1 visitor. The visitor must stay in the room.

• Patients who require a home caregiver to be trained allowed visitor(s) during the training.

• Patients undergoing surgery or procedure are allowed 1 visitor until patient is discharged home or admitted.

• The Emergency Department no visitors allowed unless above criteria is met.

• Patients who are at end of life are allowed 2 visitors. The visitors must stay in the room.

• All visitors will be screened for a fever (100.4 and greater) and respiratory symptoms (cough, shortness of breath). No visitor will be allowed in who has a positive screening.

• No visitors will be allowed in rooms of persons under investigations (PUI) or COVID-19 positive patients (unless end of life).

• No other visitors are allowed into the hospital at this time.

Para proteger a nuestros pacientes, personal y comunidad durante la pandemia de Coronavirus, se producirá una restricción de visitantes. Las visitas de rutina se suspenderán en el Hospital Regional de Ridgecrest hasta nuevo aviso.

Lo siguiente también se aplicará:

• Pacientes menores de 18 años pueden tener un visitante/padre guardián. Visitante debe permanecer en la habitación.

• La madre puede tener 1 visitante que los acompañe. El visitante debe limitar movimiento dentro del departamento, y permanecer en la habitación la majar parte del tiempo.

• Paciente que ha alterado el estado mental o retraso del desarrollo (donde un cuidador es necesario para su cuidado) se les permite tener un visitante

• Pacientes que requieren de un cuidador doméstico para ser entrenado se permite hasta 2 visitantes durante el entrenamiento. El visitante debe permanecer en la habitación.

• Pacientes sometidos a cirugía o procedimiento, Se permite un visitante hasta que el paciente sea dado de alta o admitido.

• El departamento de emergencias no se permite visitantes, a menos que se cumplan los criterios anteriores.

• Pacientes al final de la vida se les permite 2 visitantes. Los visitantes deben permanecer en la habitación.

• Todos los visitantes serán evaluados para detectar fiebre (100.4 y más) y síntomas respiratorios (tos, falta de aliento). No se le permitirá entrada si la evaluación es positiva.

• No se permitirán visitantes en habitaciones de personas bajo investigación (PBI) o pacientes con COVID-19 positivo (a menos si son pacientes al final de la vida)

• No se permite la entrada de otros visitantes en el hospital en este momento.
