COVID-19 Testing

Experiencing COVID-like symptoms?

If you are experiencing COVID-19 like symptoms*, please contact your primary care provider or walk-in to the RRH Urgent Care clinic for evaluation. Our Urgent Care Clinic is open and accepting walk-ins 7 days a week (7 AM – 6:30PM & 8 AM – 3:30 PM Holidays). No appointment necessary. Testing is currently at cost and dependent upon meeting CDC criteria.

*COVID-19 Symptoms:

People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:

  • Fever (100.4° or higher) or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

Testing

Testing at this time is at cost and still currently based on meeting CDC requirements. Please refer to the CDC Coronavirus Symptoms Self-Checker by clicking HERE, to help you make decisions on when to seek testing and appropriate medical care.

The turnaround time for results will vary based on the lab's capacity depending on the number of tests submitted.

COVID-19 diagnostic testing cash price: $125

We want to reassure you that Ridgecrest Regional Hospital is following all CDC guidelinesclosely and will continue to conduct testing. We will continue to re-evaluate the process as needed. In the meantime, we continue to urge the community to follow the recommended protective measures:

  1. If you go out for essential activities or to shop for necessities, remember to maintain at least 6 feet distance from individuals who do not live in your household.
  2. Wash hands with soap and water often, for at least 20 seconds.
  3. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. Follow label instructions for proper disinfection.
  4. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.
  5. Cover your cough or sneeze with a disposable tissue or your elbow.
  6. Stay away from large gatherings and crowds both in public and in private.
  7. If you are sick, stay home from work and away from other people.
