Dr. Alex Allwein, M.D. is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. He received his undergraduate degree at Austin Peay State University and his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Tennessee. He attended his residency training at Naval Medical Center in San Diego, CA, where he completed 1 year of Surgical Internship and 3 years of Emergency Medicine Residency. Dr. Allwein holds an Assistant Professor position at the university of Tennessee Health science Center in Memphis, Tennessee as well as his position in the RRH Emergency Department. Dr. Allwein recently retired from the US Navy in 2018 and joined the RRH Team in 2019. Dr. Allwein is the Medical Director of Urgent Care here at RRH. Dr. Allwein is married to Oliva Allwein and has three children.
