Spiritual Care
We Provide 24/7 Access to Hospital Chaplains
Ridgecrest Regional Hospital recognizes that for many people, spiritual care is an important part of getting and staying well. Local clergy serves as the hospital chaplains and are available 24-hours a day 7-days a week to meet the spiritual/emotional needs of patients, their families, and the staff—when desired.
Patients, families, and staff may request a visit by a Chaplain for many reasons. Our chaplains can provide you with:
-
Support through anxiety, fear, depression
-
A listening ear from someone who understands your feelings
-
Emotional and spiritual support
-
A partner and guide through prayer
-
Guidance as you make difficult decisions
-
Support through the grieving process
-
Camaraderie during uplifting events such as the birth of a child or recovery
You can request a visit by a chaplain at the time of registration or from your nurse or physician at any time during your stay at the hospital.
Chaplaincy Program
The RRH Chaplaincy Program is a volunteer program consisting of chaplains and lay ministers from our community. Their purpose is to minister to the spiritual needs of our patients, families, and staff of RRH. RRH has a beautiful chapel that is open 24-hours a day, 7-days a week if you would like to spend some time reading, praying, meditating, etc. The chapel is located just off the main lobby, to the immediate left when you enter the front door of the lobby. (Inside the door to the right of the pay phone.) Please ask our greeter in the front lobby, or any RRH staff member, for directions and feel free to visit the chapel at any time.
