Community Outreach

The Community Wellness Resource Center (CWRC) provides many services to the community to promote health and wellness. The goal of this program is to help people be aware of small changes they can make so that health and wellness choices become habit.

The CWRC provides education within classrooms of all ages to educate on nutrition and health. Fun, interactive lessons are provided to allow children and adolescents the opportunity to learn in a meaningful way.

The CWRC also provides educational programs to workplaces and organizations.

Services provided through the CWRC are:

  • Health and wellness education for adults and kids
  • Workplace prevention and early detection programs
  • Ongoing health education through free seminars and resource guides
  • School Health / Nutrition Programs
  • Community Health Events
  • The Annual Community Health Fair
  • Community Support Groups such as SilverSneakers exercise program for Seniors, Seniors Gentle Chair Yoga, Journey to Happiness Seniors Group, Diabetes Support Group and the Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group

Community Benefits

At Ridgecrest Regional Hospital, we are committed to improving our community and supporting the people in it.

Through the Community Health Needs Assessment Survey, we learn more about the health needs of our community. With this information, we can build on the services and programs that most benefit the local population.

Our annual Community Benefit Report highlights our contribution to the community and details our local contribution through key programs and services.
