Anand M. Shah, MD

About

Dr. Anand Shah is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery. He treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions involving bones, tendons, nerves, and joints, and is the founder of Valley Orthopedics in Palmdale. He is excited to be expanding his practice to bring specialized orthopedic care to the patients of Ridgecrest Regional Hospital.

He completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, San Diego, before earning his medical degree from Chicago Medical School, where he graduated at the top of his class. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Miami and returned to UC San Diego for a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery.

On a personal note, Dr. Shah grew up in Palmdale and attended Quartz Hill High School, where he first developed his love of tennis. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife, a fellow physician whom he met in medical school, and their two sons, who are in high school.
