RRH has launched a new payment portal, PersonaPay - powered by RevSpring. We can now offer our community a better payment experience, including an easier online payment portal, flexible payment plans, and responsive payment support.
Do I need to do anything to set up or transfer my account to the new platform?

No action is needed on your part. Your account information will be transferred securely to our new platform, and your billing will continue without interruption.
If you're currently enrolled in auto-pay, your account transfer may be delayed until your current balance is paid in full. This does not affect your billing schedule.

Yes, payment communications about your RRH account may come from PersonaPay - powered by RevSpring, on our behalf. These are legitimate.

No. It is a payment processing platform.

Is my information secure?
Yes. Our new payment platform meets all Payment Card Industry (PCI) regulations and certifications. Your information was transferred securely and is protected in accordance with all applicable privacy regulations.

Yes. You can pay online through our payment platform, at RRH.org/Pay.

Statements are sent digitally. If you would like a copy mailed to you, please call (760) 278-0498 or (888) 903-0168.

Call (760) 278-0498 or (888) 903-0168. An itemized bill can be sent to you upon request.
Does my hospital bill include doctor's fees?
Does my hospital bill include doctor's fees?
Our billing statements are issued per visit. Each time you receive care at the hospital or clinic, an individual visit number is issued for that date of service and a billing statement is issued for that visit only.
Sometimes doctor's bills are issued separately from the hospital bill and may arrive on different days. For questions about your statement, call (760) 278-0498 or (888) 903-0168 Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

The information you need should be available on your most recent statement. If you don't have a statement or are having trouble accessing your account, please contact us at (760) 278-0498 or (888) 903-0168.

You may edit your saved payment method by logging into your account, clicking on your name in the upper right corner, and then selecting My wallet. Your saved payment method(s) will be listed. You can click on any saved method to make changes or add a new payment method.

Your balance will not change immediately after making a payment. We need time to process and post your payment to your account before your balance will update. Please check back after a few days.

Yes. While logged into your account, click on View payment history and then View receipt to print a copy. To email or text yourself a copy, click on Account activity and then click on the payment you made. You will then have the option to Send email receipt or Send text receipt.

If you don't have health insurance coverage, or choose not to use the plan you have, you can pay for the cost of your care directly.
You may also qualify for our financial assistance program. People with low or moderate incomes may qualify for Medi-Cal or a subsidized health plan through Covered California.

What Medicare HMO plan is RRH contracted with?

Ridgecrest Regional Hospital is contracted with the Kern Family Medicare Dual Complete D-SNP HMO plan. If you are enrolled in this plan and assigned to RRH, you may see our providers according to your plan coverage.

We work with a variety of health insurance plans to ensure you have access to quality care close to home. In addition to government health insurance (Medicare and Medi-Cal), RRH accepts a variety of PPO plans, Medi-Cal Managed Care, and Medicare.

Yes. RRH accepts both Medicare and Medi-Cal.

What happens if my insurance denies the claim?
You should receive an explanation of benefits (EOB) or a denial notification from your health insurance plan. RRH will also mail you a statement advising how much you owe.

What are referrals and authorizations?
A referral is an order from your Primary Care Provider (PCP) to see a specialist or receive medical services. Your PCP helps determine whether a specialist is necessary for your treatment.
Authorization (also called prior authorization, prior approval, or precertification) is the process of getting approval from your health insurance plan before receiving a medical service or filling a prescription.

How much does the COVID-19 vaccine cost?
The COVID-19 vaccine is free. If you have an insurance plan, your insurance provider may be charged for the vaccine administration, but there will be no out-of-pocket cost for you. If you don't have insurance, there is no cost.
