RRH COVID-19 Advisory & Response (8.12.20) - Regarding Test Results & Case Numbers:

RRH continues to publish the RRH numbers for COVID-19 tests Mon-Fri on the RRH website (www.rrh.org/covid19) and Facebook page. We would however like to remind the community that the average daily testing rates have significantly reduced for our community, following recent changes to the state testing guidance. As per California Department of Public Health (CDPH) guidance (https://bit.ly/3iF9sFT), RRH is now only testing those individuals who meet the criteria for testing largely based on symptoms and exposure (see RRH press release here: https://bit.ly/30QUrKY)

Jim Suver, RRH CEO said: “ We therefore cannot assume at this stage that infection rates are slowing down or have stabilized. Individuals without symptoms and not meeting the criteria for testing could still be present in the community and spreading the virus to others. What we don’t want is the community to fall into a false sense of security in seeing “no new cases” and believing the virus has gone away, when we no longer have the increased testing capability or data to prove that. This is why we continue to urge everyone to follow all mandated safety measures – regular hand washing, maintaining physical distancing, not mixing with others outside of your household and wearing a mask where required and when physical distancing is hard to maintain.”

If you feel you meet the criteria for screening, TEXT the word "SCREENING" to 833-RRH-4YOU (833-774-4968). Symptom Self Check Tools can be found at:
